Let’s get festive. It’s the eleventh of November. That means Sint Martin’s and Thanksgiving around the corner. Why not feast this fall with these cute caramel treats? 100% guilt-free!
Guilt-Free Chocolate Caramel Tarts
Ingredients
Makes 5
Base
1/4 cup wholegrain oats
1/4 cup coconut
1 tbsp coconut oil
8 dates soaked in warm water
Caramel
10 dates soaked in warm water
1 tbsp almond butter
2 tbsp coconut oil
2 tsp coconut sugar
2 tbsp coconut cream
Chocolate Topping
3 tbsp coconut oil (melted)
2 tbsp cacao
1 tbsp pure maple syrup
Preparation
Base
Blend all ingredients together in food processor. Divide mixture evenly into cupcake moulds and push down with the back of a spoon to make each base flat. Put in the freezer.
Caramel
Blend all ingredients together until smooth and spoon on top of bases. Put back in the freezer to set.
Chocolate
Mix together well (I use a mini whisk) and pour on top of caramel layer and put in the freezer to set.
These delicious treats need to stay in the fridge or freezer and will last up to 5 days.
Caramel Smoothie
Ingredients
Serves 1
1.5 cups of almond milk
8- 10 dates
Small handful of almonds
Small handful of cashews
1 tbsp chia seeds (optional)
1 tsp vanilla essence
Preparation
Blend all ingredients in a high speed blender until smooth.
