5 Delicious & Easy Homemade Lemonades

When Life Gives You Lemons… Make Lemonade!

Homemade lemonades are always a winner. They are easy, refreshing, healthy and look (and taste!) delicious. It’s a treat to put one of those colorful jars on the table and kids love them too! Make your own lemonades with the 5 simple recipes below.

All recipes make 4 glasses or 1 liter of lemonade.

MINTY WATERMELON

Ingredients
300 grams of watermelon
1 lemon
4 sticks of fresh mint leaves
ice cubes
coconut or pure water

Preparation
Puree half of the watermelon and slice up the other half, cut the lemon in slices. Put the watermelon, lemon, mint and ice cubes into a jar and top off with the coconut or pure water.

GREEN ICED TEA

Ingredients
2 green tea bags
1 lemon
honey
ice cubes

Preparation
Put boiled water in a jar, and add the tea bags. Let them soak for a while, depending on how strong you prefer your green tea flavor. Get the tea bags out and let the jar cool off completely (you can put it in the fridge). Slice up the lemon and add to the cooled tea together with the ice cubes. Add honey to your taste for some sweetness.

MARRAKESH ORANGE

Ingredients
2 oranges
2 lemons
4 sticks of fresh mint leaves
ice cubes
pure water

Preparation
Squeeze one lemon and one orange into a jar. Slice up the other lemon and orange and add together with the mint and ice cubes. Top off with pure water.

ROSEMARY FRIZZ

Ingredients
4 grapefruits
1 stick of fresh rosemary
honey
ice cubes
coconut or pure water

Preparation
Juice two of the grapefruits and slice up the others. Put in a jar with the rosemary. Top off with ice cubes and coconut or pure water and add honey (about a tablespoon) to your liking.

CUCUMBER BASIL SMASH

Ingredients
1 cucumber
4 sticks of fresh basil
1 lemon
ice cubes
coconut water

Preparation
Use a peeler to make long “ribbons” of cucumber, if you don’t have one you can just cut it in slices, but it looks really pretty. Or try to make different shapes like hearts and stars if you make this for your kids, they’ll absolutely love it! Squeeze half the lemon into a jar and slice the other half, add together with the cucumber parts, basil and ice cubes. Top off with coconut water.

And there you have your pretty jar filled with delicious fresh and healthy lemonade! You can vary with the ingredients or mix it up with pure water instead of coconut, or the other way around for a change. See what you like best or add some ingredients of your own. These mason jar lemonades are so versatile, you’ll never get bored with them. Enjoy!
